We returned from the SAP Partner Summit for SME with a new award (Highest Revenue in Eastern Europe) and a lot of new information about SAP’s plans. The 2023 edition of the event dedicated to SAP partners brought together over 880 participants from 52 countries in Vienna. The event is part of a global series and provides a great opportunity for partners worldwide to explore common business opportunities and discover key SAP solutions. Additionally, SAP recognizes the achievements of the most involved and capable partners by awarding prizes based on the previous year’s economic results.
New Developments for SAP Business One
SAP emphasized that business innovation is truly crucial for survival in today’s competitive landscape, and its main goal is to help companies become intelligent and sustainable. The development of SAP solutions and upcoming functionalities aims at this goal, whether they are on-premises or in the cloud.
SAP Business One remains the core solution for the SAP SME (Small and Medium Business) sector, and development and innovation plans are already outlined for several years. New functionalities for SAP Business One have been announced for the near future, including a possible major release. The updates mainly focus on the web interface, which will become more ergonomic and functionally extended. Additionally, a higher level of intelligence and automation will be added through new Robotic Process Automation (RPA) capabilities. SAP emphasizes the concept of “Intelligent RPA,” which combines AI and machine learning technology. It is expected that new software robots will be available for SAP Business One in the near future.
Another important focus for SAP is cybersecurity, and this area is already benefiting from significant investments. New tools will be available to secure access and ensure data protection and confidentiality.
Cloud is a central aspect in SAP’s discourse, but even more important is the freedom for customers to choose the technology and implementation method that best aligns with their business objectives.
Award for System Innovation Romania
System Innovation Romania remains a key partner in the Central and Eastern Europe region. SAP awarded us the “Highest Revenue” prize for our achievements in 2022, placing us above other partners in the Eastern Europe cluster. It was a year of hard work, but we also achieved good results. We recorded a 20% increase in turnover, exceeding 2 million euros, with revenues mainly generated by SAP projects. Moreover, last year we carried out the largest SAP Business One project in the region for a relevant company in the local oil and gas market.
At the SAP Partner Summit for SME, we discovered collaboration opportunities with SAP partners from other countries, such as Poland. Additionally, we understood that SAP Business One will benefit from significant technological infusion in the near future and will remain the best long-term ERP solution for small and medium-sized companies throughout Europe.
