System Innovation Romania participated alongside other top EMEA partners at the SAP Partner Summit for Midmarket 2025 in Barcelona—the annual event dedicated to the SAP partner ecosystem. This year’s summit focused on the strategic roadmap for SAP Business One, the essential ERP solution for small and mid-sized companies.

The event concluded with double recognition for the Romanian team:

  • Highest Revenue Award – for the largest SAP license sales in the CEE Central Cluster region
  • Highest Net New Names Award – for the most new customers in the CEE Central Cluster

A positive development for the local market is SAP’s new regional structure, which places Romania in the same Central Cluster as Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, and Slovenia. This highlights both the growing maturity of the Romanian market and System Innovation Romania’s strong positioning in a region with significantly higher competition.

SAP Business One – A Continuously Evolving Platform

The summit underlined SAP’s strong commitment to accelerating the development of SAP Business One in response to steadily growing global demand:

  • Over 82,000 customers worldwide, with more than 1.2 million users
  • 360 enterprise customers using SAP in 7,000 subsidiaries
  • 850 global partners
  • 500+ add-on solutions built on SAP Business One

SAP Business One remains SAP’s best-selling ERP by customer count and continues to evolve with Add-on solutions, cloud services, analytics, mobile features, AI, and machine learning—developed by partners like System Innovation.

Partners are playing an increasingly central role in this transformation, becoming true digital enablers by integrating advanced capabilities such as AI, machine learning, analytics, mobility, and cloud services.

“We are investing in the future and security of SAP Business One, enhancing its integration with SAP Business Technology Platform to simplify development and expand the web client’s capabilities. Thomas Saueressig, Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, Customer Services & Delivery

Visual and Technological Updates: SAP Business One Reinvented

One of the notable announcements at the summit was the new visual identity for SAP Business One, including a refreshed logo. But beyond the look, the strategy is clear: SAP is investing heavily in the platform’s evolution.

Key points from the roadmap include:

  • Web Client will reach full feature parity with the desktop version by 2026
  • SAP Business One version 11 is expected in 2027, marking a major transformation
  • Web Client will become the gateway to the cloud-native SAP Business One
  • Deeper integration with SAP Business Technology Platform for easier, scalable development
  • AI and automation features—from modern interfaces to autogenerated complex queries

What’s coming in SAP Business One version 11:

  • New cloud management tools
  • Component-based automation and upgrades
  • Containerized integration for greater flexibility
  • Web Client expansion across all major modules: sales, purchasing, payments, service, finance, production, inventory, analytics, and administration
  • Continuous innovation based on customer feedback
  • Extended support for local legislation (e.g. e-Invoice in France and Spain, MTD in the UK, e-TDS in India)
  • Enhanced Outlook 365 integration
  • Greater extensibility via UI API, VS Code IDE, webhooks
  • Support for Windows Server 2025 and optimizations for cloud control

The 2025 SAP Partner Summit for Midmarket made one thing clear: SAP Business One has a defined, dynamic, and ambitious future. Through ongoing investment, technological innovation, and active partner involvement, the platform is becoming more aligned with today’s business needs.

For System Innovation Romania, the two awards and involvement in global initiatives confirm the direction: sustainable growth, strong technology, and strategic partnerships.
