At the beginning of the month, we did an analysis of the activity in 2021 and sent a Pree Release to the tech and business media. The main message was that we managed to grow the business by 40%, mainly by carrying out more complex projects, than by organically increasing the organization of the number of clients. In the background, we also announced that 90% of the projects were deployed remotely, the average value of a project increased by 25%, and the Cluj-Napoca branch generated 38% of the consulting revenues. Information was appreciated by media, and Ziarul Financiar, Forbes, Biz, Club ITC had some catchy headlines.

A better year

It was a good year in terms of business results because we had more demands from customers and we worked harder, all 26 members of System Innovation Romania, both in Bucharest and in Cluj-Napoca. Innovations included in SAP Business One were also important, as well as the orientation on specialized vertical solutions (textile and footwear production, telecommunications, eCommerce) but also that we are an SAP Gold partner. We carried out very specialized and relatively large projects (50-150 users), which included specific tools and features: managing collections, models, sizes, and colors for footwear/clothing manufacturers, but also managing subscriptions, billing, and consumption for a large telecommunications company. The names of these companies are confidential, but we hope to generate some case studies on the projects, in the near future.

The average value of a project has increased by about 30% and we have practically generated higher revenues, without proportionally increasing the customer base. We’ve delivered more consulting, more custom components developed by us (WMS, recurring billing), and more features. Another aspect outlined last year is the extension of existing projects to branches of clients in the country or abroad.

What about 2022?

We have ambitious goals also for 2022, we aim for business growth of at least 20%. Some of our clients, who were small/medium-sized companies 7-8 years ago, have reached maturity, become large taxpayers, and need an upgrade of their business processes. At the same time, we focus on supporting customers in overcoming new legislative requirements, such as SAFT-T reporting and electronic invoicing. An important step will be to align with SAP’s cloud strategy, and this year we will be adopting a number of specific solutions. It is a subject we will return to. Also, this year, we hope to expand the range of Business Intelligence services for small and medium-sized companies, obviously based on Qlik technology, which we already know very well.

With or without a pandemic, 2022 promises to be a challenging year, even if only because of the turmoil in the energy market, which will be reflected in pressure on costs and efficiency.

So, we wish you all Success!
